Cloud dragon

We woke to an amazing red sky: lenticular clouds in the western sky. These gave way to a different and most unusual formation in the late morning, as seen above, which I can only explain with strong high winds and cold temperatures.
At last they have opened more of the local cross-country tracks so we shot off for an hour as the weather changed again and the snow came in for the rest of the day.
We put our feet up.
