Winter's Breath

Today was definitely a day for getting out into the countryside. The brilliant blue sky and wonderful thick frost, was too much of a temptation, so I bundled the dogs in the car and off we went. 
The frost lingered in small patches where the sun never reached but elsewhere the ground turned back to thick mud and I didn't have wellies! 
Mr E is back in the morning after working every day since getting back from Wales. He's completely missed Christmas, so perhaps a family meal somewhere nice, would be a good idea :))
