Frosty Fencepost Mushrooms

This is a clump of tiny mushrooms growing inside the top of a rotting fencepost near Hunterston Castle.  I took the picture this cold and frosty morning with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 pocket camera on macro mode.  To get a sense of scale - the foreground mini-landscape covers about half the width of a standard fencepost, so the clump of fungi is about half an inch across.
