Yellow petals

A flower again today, but this one is growing indoors, on a cactus.  I am amazed that plants growing in desert habitats with scant nutrients produce such spectacular flowers that provide bounteous attractants for insect pollinators.  Maybe that's one of the reasons that cacti appeal to me.
