Dimly lit interior

there is a small alcove in our hallway near the front door, we have a table that just fits snug in this alcove, on the table every Christmas we have a sweet tray filled with lollies by the grandchildren, it sits on the hall table near a basket of dried flowers and a few family pictures, with the candle lit it created the effect of a dimly lit interior..

Our first 42c day for the summer, the first major bush fire burning near Toodyay, over 100 firefighters trying to bring it under control, it's dark now the sun has gone down, it's still 22c lets hope it brings relief for the people of Toodyay..
