Christmas cocktails

Husband left very early to travel North to pick up MiL for Christmas. I followed shortly after to make sure that son number one was up for work and to get started on the tidying up. Got stuck into the ironing while continuing to feed the washer with son number two's laundry. Once that was done and put away, I had to clear the dining room ready to be turned into a temporary bedroom and sort our room out ready for MiL. Lots of duvet covers, pillow slips and sheets to be sorted out and arranged. 

As I walked up to get some bread for lunch with son number 2, husband and MiL arrived after a good trip back. Lots of catching up to do. 

Went out to a pre-Christmas cocktail party with a friend from book group. We had exotic pomegranate liqueur and fizz to start with (complete with bobbing pomegranate pieces) and then moved on to sex in the snow. A lovely evening with lots of nibbles and a chance to catch up on what is going on with all our young adults now they are back for the holidays.
