Hastings adventure

It was freezing cold today in Sussex, but we decided upon an adventure because I am working for the next 4 days. I was especially keen to make the most of the day, and every day from here on, after hearing yesterday of another premature death in our community. The son of a running friend hit ice on his way to work, his car hit a tree, and that was that. He was young, recently married, and father to a 4 week old baby....:-(

I braved the icy roads to run the 11.5 miles to Pevensey. GravyC and the boys picked me up and we took the coastal road through Cooden and Bexhill to Hastings.

Eddie Izzard ran past our car whilst we were waiting for oncoming traffic to pass.....!!!!!

On to Hastings, and we parked up on the cliff top so that we could take Noo on the West Cliff Funicular railway. This is the view from the top - terrifying!!!!!

Amusements and fish and chips finished off the day nicely....
