It's been freezing cold, so we went to the sales to buy Freyda a thick winter coat. She chose the yellow one. Then she became fascinated by this little mannequin and examined every stitch of his clothes, pulled his hand off, removed his wig and happily posed for a photograph with him.

And she's mastered her first irregular verb -- buy, bought. She first got it right the day we bought the Christmas tree, but she's using it consistently now. "Buy it!" she said about the coat when we were in the shop. Then, when we were walking down Rose street, she pointed at her coat and said "Bought it."
