Southerly Winds a Blowin

[Apologies if you'd viewed my original blip but I had to change it as it didn't convey the drama that I felt stood at the sea wall. Admittedly I needed a bit of help from Photomatix to get the desired effect.]

Our last day in Cornwall today, home safely and back-blips posted for the last two days.

We started with a very leisurely breakfast before picking up our pasty order from the Horse and Jockey bakery in Helston (best pasties in the world but don't tell everyone). Before heading back we like to visit Porthleven just in case the seas are up and indeed they were. High tide and favourable strong winds always provide an impressive display and we weren't disappointed. We must have been there for nearly two hours  being buffeted by the wind, freezing cold hands, struggling to keep the salt spray off the lens - fantastic, loved every minute!
