Last

This year we got rid of the last of the 100 odd rose bushes that were planted by the previous owner in the front garden of the house.  One was kept though, and planted in an area that was kept for shrubs.  I hoped that it would survive the move, but doubted so, as it was one of these old tea roses, with the most beautiful deep heady sweet rose smell and it may not like the new position.  But it seemed that it did, as it produced a couple more flowers in late August.

I kept them in a little vase and they have dried out and here is one of them.

Had a fleeting visit from the Roman and the Russian, quick trip to the Cherrybank Inn for a drink and now Tonto and I are back sitting with a drink to toast the New Year, watching Still Game and the other two  are getting blown around in Edinburgh for the street party!!

Farewell 2014 - thanks for the memories :-)
