At the bells ...

...we waited, ourselves and two good friends, to get tore into the Japanese Malt (a present to Mr PB from #2 son) and black bun (brought by the friends) to celebrate the coming of the new year. Another friend, meanwhile, was giving it laldy on the telly - BBC Alba's Hogmanay show featured her choir, Atomic Piseag - and there was a surreal air that the evening had somehow melted away in food and drink at much conversation.

What better way to manage the end of another year?
