A Guid New Year

The original plan of my cousins' family returning to my house after bringing in the New Year on the Stirling Castle esplanade was thwarted by the weather. Instead, we brought in the New Year at their rented cottage in Stirling with the TV as our substitute count-down to 2015.

Afterwards, they gave me a lift home while the children (both in their late teens I must add) stayed back at the cottage. Not quite the first-footing I had anticipated. Nevertheless, the New Year was hanselled by the traditional dram (apart from David who was driving) and a wee shortie . I have now been first-footed and the New Year can begin in earnest.
