Sentier des Capitelles

Decided to have a more local day today and set off from the village to follow the Sentier des Capitelles. We did the longest version of the route and walked through vineyards, woodland, scrub and open fields. It was a beautiful day and there were lots of dragonflies and insects. There were also hundreds of fungi amongst the trees. The route led you past lots of little dry stone shelters that were originally created for shepherds. It looked like some of them were fairly new so we wondered if they had been created for the trial. Great walk.

When we got back to the house, we had a reading and snoozing session in the sun in the garden and then did our packing and sorting out ready for our return journey tomorrow.

We used up the bits of food in a strange hybrid meal washed down with our last bottle of red wine.
