Happy New Year fellow blippers! A dull day to kick off the year, so we made up a picnic and went to the seaside. That blew the cobwebs off. Pippa loved it on the beach. At one stage I removed her coat and she looked at me as if to ask: "What do you think you're doing?" She wouldn't budge until I put it back on her. What a girl. Nice to see that one or two owners had made an effort with their beach huts.

What a good day, listening to War and Peace on Radio 4. I read it once - all 1,334 pages, not to mention the epilogue - great book.

This is day 1 of the "not blipping every day" regime (my only New Year's resolution). Tomorrow I might not blip.
