New Year Jar

I heard about this last year, so today I started one of my own.
The idea is that you start the new year with an empty jar, then every time something good happens, you make a note of it and place the note in the jar. On New Year's Eve, you empty the jar and read all the little notes. 
I had a productive day, sorting out more photographs on the computer and although the weather was abysmal, I took the dogs out for a long walk over the fields this afternoon. 
Alexander is sleeping over and at bedtime I read him some poetry from one of my childhood books.
