Tug o war

It's the annual tug of war competition in Cullivoe: The Uppies versus The Doonies.
Your team depends on whether you live up north of the burn of Cullivoe or 'doon trow Cullivoe'.
We live firmly on the Upper side of the burn and the family are very much Uppies.
There is a best of three each year pulling over the top of the burn, with two competitions - one 》16 and one 《 16 year old.
This year the trophy was raised by the Uppies in both, much to our delight. There is then a celebration drink and social at the Galley Shed for the presentation of the trophies.
