On the fence, with thorny questions

We went to Aylesbury this afternoon, and took advantage of the beautiful day to take Rachael's mum out for a drive around the nearby villages. On the way back there was a nice sunset, and I stopped to take a few shots.

I'm not sure yet what to make of the "Polaroid blipfoto" development. Both parties appear to describe it as "a partnership", but the rebranding of blip seems to imply more than that. Has blipfoto been acquired, has Polaroid taken shares in it, or what?  I don't expect we'll hear any financial details of the deal, but I do still want to know exactly what the situation is. Who are our membership agreements now with?  We surely need to be informed of that. Assuming Polaroid have invested, how do they envisage getting a return on that?  I can't imagine we'll be made privy to their business plans.

Maybe it will indeed be a good thing for blipfoto - there may well be benefits to having a big name behind it. But it could also herald significant and potentially unwelcome changes to the community we're all familiar with. Waiting with bated breath to hear more...
