Christmas!

Having spent Christmas Day in almost exactly the same way for the last 25 years, I wasn't sure how it would be spending it away from home, but luckily the 13 other people that I got to spend today with really are a fantastic bunch.

We woke up early, with Robbie and Baz getting the turkey prepped and cooked. Aimie handled the making of mimosas like a professional, ensuring that throughout the day there wasn't an empty glass in the cabin. People skyped home, dipping into the traditions they're used to, and generally everyone was on a high note. In the afternoon we sat round to open our secret Santa presents which it's fair to say everyone did an amazing job with! And then came dinner, which, after our practice at Thanksgiving, we once again nailed!

The afternoon was spent drinking, playing, and relaxing by the fire watching the eastenders Christmas special. You can take Brits out of England but... you know the rest.

In the evening we played ring of fire followed by a lot of singing and dancing.

For a Christmas away from home, I can't fault it!
