The second day of the year started with a surprise when Kate and I got to Patricia (my car) to find a flat tyre.  This was not ideal as we had a six hour drive back to Aberystwyth.  After sitting for an hour, the lovely RAC man came to our rescue and we were on our way.  The journey took forever and was not helped by the fact that the spare tyre was put on the car which meant that our maximum speed was 60-65mph on the motorway.  In the end our journey took eight hours!  

Let's hope that this is not a bad omen for 2015 to come!
