My Mother's Rings.

If my parents were still alive, today would've been their 73rd Wedding Anniversary.

The photo is of my Mum's engagement, wedding and eternity rings.

All the years I was growing up my mother's engagement ring sat in a box, without a diamond in it.  Apparently, she'd lost the stone whilst at the beach.

When it came to my parent's 25th anniversary, my sister and I got the idea of replacing the stone.  But unfortunately, we couldn't afford a diamond, and had to buy a white sapphire instead.

I expect my mum was disappointed, but she would never have told us so.
