Old dolls, old stories

I found an old programme of a puppet play we had produced in the late '40s. The quest to recall this turned up these dolls. The 2 in the background Ann found she had, and the other has sat here for years on a clay dragon!
They were not puppets, but small (less than 10cms) dolls, around which we wove countless stories. The sewing was rudimentary, but you try stuffing such tiny arms and legs!
