#2. ‘We Come From The same Place’ by Allo’ Darlin’

 The latest album of perfect (indie)pop from everyone’s favourite Anglo-Australian four-piece seems to reflect the degree of upheaval they’ve undergone personally recently (vocalist Liz Morris recently married and now commutes between Italy and London for band work, apparently) by infusing its trademark wistfulness and nostalgia with a renewed vigour and sonic lust for life. The guitars are more muscular on the verses and more joyously bubbly on the fills, the choruses are that bit bigger and more aching… it’s basically the same stuff, but with an even bigger smile on its face…
