Transistors in tubes.

Repairing things, and sorting out others for disposal. We have soooo much stuff that will likely never be used again. ISA interface cards for slottting into PC's. No modern PC has such a connection in them, and most of the cards are 20+ years old. They'll never be used again. Nor will you find any software to operate them. You'd be wasting your time. One exception being the card fitted to a 1993 PC, that still operates an even older piece of kit. That may (all) have to go soon too.

Someone must have thought it was a good idea to store loads of transistors in these plastic tubes. The tubes were then inserted into plastic foam, generating loads of static electrical charge in the process. No, it wasn't a good idea. Many are easily damaged by static charges! Suspect this lot date back to when they ran TV and radio repair courses here... i.e. not in the last thirty years!
