Light pollution

From the moon and from the infernal light at the back of our garden.  One day I will sabotage it.

I was trying to get Orion and the surrounding sky, as Comet Lovejoy is currently in that area.  Essentially, the view of it is ruined by the glare from the street lamp.

No matter.  

It's not really important in the overall scheme of things.
