I'm not sure what happened today, it was one of those lost days that occur every so often.  I got up late to feed the cats - they weren't impressed - then kind of spaced out for the rest of the day.  I did some exercise, took down some holiday decorations, went to the grocery store, took this blip at Voodoo Doughnuts, so I guess it wasn't a total space, but I've definitely not felt "checked-in" in at all today.

We've watched some new movies:

Advanced Style (2014), documentary.  This was based on the photo blog of the same name, in which street style photographer Ari Cohen photographs stylish New York ladies (and occasionally gentlemen) over 50.  It was fun.

Diana Vreeland - The Eye Has to Travel (2011), documentary.  An interview with Diana Vreeland covering her life and career.  Very entertaining, I really enjoyed it.

The Boxtrolls (2014), stop motion animated movie.  Produced by Laika which is based in Hillsboro (just outside Portland).  A lot of fun and some funny lines that made us laugh.

The Search for General Tso (2014), documentary.  This was a fascinating look at Chinese food in America and an investigation into the origins of the dish, General Tso's Chicken*, which is a perennial favorite here in the US.  Not a dish that's found in other Chinese restaurants around the world.  Very interesting indeed.

* A dish I have never tried.
