Fircone

This is a huge fircone which was displayed at church. We like the Christmas decorations left up until the New Year services are over - and they are today. The fircone reminds me of two huge ones that we had when I was a child. They were very old and came from the grounds of Paulton's Park, near Southampton, from when my Mum was evacuated there during the war. Eventually, after many years, they were disposed of, but they used to fascinate me when I was little. Ah, the simplicity of the days before iPad!

I have a friend round today and I've done this quickly while she was on the phone to someone. Now we're going to watch some TV episodes that we've saved up to watch together :-))
