Enjoying some non-edible Christmas gifts (unlike yesterday's chocolate blip).

The DVD is a film called The Book Thief, given to youngest which we watched last night. A tear jerker set in WW2 Germany, but beautiful acted and a very well made film though moving and poignant. Stars Geoffrey Rush aka Lionel Logue from The Kings Speech and the scary Captain Barbosa from Pirates of the Caribbean.

The book is the latest from CJ Sansom in the Matthew Shardlake series. I love a good Tudor whodunnit.

I assume the book was paid for, not acquired by a book thief...
