Old Water Pump

After taking the Christmas decorations down this morning we went out for a walk around the local country lanes.  We often pass by this old pump without taking much notice, I thought it would make a good Blipfoto.

From 1800 to 1946 this pump supplied water to the many nearby cottage residents whose buckets wore away an area of the trough below.
