Painting

We had a good sleep so had to bustle around a bit to get ourselves and Ogatodomar organised so that we could see him on to his train at 11 am. Then we went on down to Stockbridge to have a browse in the charity shops and visit the market. We walked back along the WoL as far as Canonmills where I got on the bus, having had enough of the muddy footpath and the lack of birdlife (due to the river being in something of a spate). Mr H proceeded on foot - I sort of knew that he would see the kingfisher once I had given up.

When we left for the bus up to the station we saw someone at an easel starting a painting of the Water of Leith, facing approximately in this direction - when I got back about three hours later he was facing the other way painting this scene. He must have had very cold fingers by then.
