A Triffid

Buds are appearing on the poppies in the garden.

I love how they look so strange until they appear as a glorious glamorous and flouncy flower.

I took a few shots of various buds. All looked like weird hairy balls but this one caught my lens because of the glimpse of scarlet and the promise of things to come.
