Mannequin Pis in his finery

For (from what I can tell anyway) Norway Day. Is this the national dress of Norway? It just looks like a suit to me, natty red socks I guess.

Anyway, the little peeing guy is to Brussels as the mermaid is to Copenhagen. And he has quite a wardrobe too, well over 400 different costumes that he is sporadically attired in for the day. Just as well we specially planned our trip to coincide with such a day.

That and a two day bank holiday where it seems pretty much the whole city is closed - restaurants, bars and all.

Oh, and also the biannual Zinneke Parade, with this year's theme being Disorder...should be interesting.
