The Old Ways are The Best

Honestly this is not a comment about polaroidblip.com! Hmm, could be though .....
Every year the gulets are taken out of the water for their winter service and to keep them safe. With their wooden construction they could be very easily damaged, even in the ports in storms like the one on January 1st. They always look so delicately poised on their blocks of wood with little wedges keeping the side poles in place. But this works well and when the boats are put back in the water there are simply small piles of wood to store, no huge cradles blocking up the port. This is all very neat and everyone is happy with the traditional way of doing things.
