Mono Monday - Old Gate Post

Just backblipped for Sunday.

Out on our walk today I spotted this really old gatepost - no gate in sight though.

The light was a bit poor, so I had the little pop-up flash open on my Lumix. This just helped bring the post out from the background.

Converted to mono in LR and then given HDR treatment in Photomatix (a single image) which has just brought out the texture of the wood a bit.
