Today was our 40th wedding anniversary. We spent our honeymoon in my great aunt's cottage in Yealand Redmayne, some 15 miles from the lodge where we have been staying since Monday. We had expected to have a quiet day on our own but after an unexpected but welcome invitation from our son-in-law's godmother who lives there now, we were treated to a memorable celebratory champagne lunch.
