Westernmost tip of europe - Cabo de Roca

For our last day in Lisbon we took a tour with Thelma of www.thelmatours.info. Thelma picked us up by car outside our Flattered appartment, which was sad to say goodbye to, at 9:15am and we hit the road. We headed west following the coast to Cascais where we stopped off for a wander, take a coffee and pick up pastries (for the plane later) at a gem of a place Bijou. Fuled up we hit the road again and and continued to follow the coast heading north now to the westernmost point of Europe, Cabo de Roca, where I took this shot, as one comment I have had so far, that is one hell of a selfie! From here we headed east to Sintra going the back way through the twisty roads taking in all the different house architecture. Parked up in Sintra we wandered round the back streets taking loads of photos whilst being educated by Thelma, and came to a natural stopping point as we apporached Romaria de Baco for lunch, and wow what a lunch it was. Leaving there we wandered some more doing all things tourists do and finally stopped off at Piriquita II for a final coffee and typical pastry made from yolk egg, as are many of Portuguese pastries. It was then time to head off back to Lisbon airport which we did via Lagos Azul for a final selfie in the "golden hour" of sun-setting light and were dropped off right at the easy jet terminal. Thanks Thelma for a day that will be with us forever.
