Childhood terror

I grew up watching Dr Who - I loved Tom Baker - he was always the Doctor in my mind . I was always terrified at the end of every episode and used to hide behind the chair and peak out - it didn't matter that I knew there was another episode the next night or that every episode ended on a knife edge - I was always convinced the Doctor was going to die
Not a big fan of the current new series - just don't gave the same feel.
We used to call the end music the dinner song as it always indicated to our first dig Pippi that she was about to be fed - became slightly like Pavlovs dog - she would hear the music and expect to be fed
