Sacred Heart

The Catholic church.
I had a sigmoidoscopy today, and the surgeon took a few chunks of the growth to be tested for cancer. Apparently the Radiologists in Christchurch are reluctant to do any treatment until it's 100% confirmed that it's cancer (the first biopsy result was negative). The surgeon said it absolutely is, and that if this biopsy result comes back negative, he'll go ahead with the surgery first, and the radiation therapy will have to come afterwards - which has it's risks. It's all very frustrating for me, and the surgeon, as it's been over a month since finding the growth, and I haven't had any treatment yet.

I'll be pleased when it's all behind me.
