Pieces for years of peace

No, I didn't do this on purpose for an artistic effect - simply another accident that the mirror placed against the tile wall above the basin slipped down to hit the mug into the sink and it broke into two pieces. Fortunately the mirror didn't hurt so I escaped another 7 years' bad luck! 

This happened midnight so I suspect that there must be a ghost in the shower downstairs. To think it positively, I bring the Chinese saying of 岁岁(碎碎)平安, as the title means. 岁岁 (every year) and 碎碎 (broken into pieces) have the same pronunciation and tone as 'suìsuì'. 平安 means peace and safety. This is particularly used as a good wish in the new year time. Imagine that it is high time for families and relatives to visit each other, eating and drinking, so it is inevitable that some guys will break porcelains and glassware. Once it happens, the host family will say this immediately. Have a try next time - Oops, I mean only when it unluckily happened ;-)
