Birds over the Church

We have arrived in Cardiff to visit mum in her nursing home and to try and sort out her financial affairs as my brother and I now have Power of Attorney.  That has turned out to be the most convoluted, frustrating experience ever.  Banks and building societies have their own rules and regulations in connection with this process but what they have in common is that they are lengthy and complicated and you can guarantee that you will waste hours and hours trying to make sense of it all.  
Light relief in the evening though as we went out as a family to Carluccio's to celebrate nephew's 21st birthday.  He is due to sit his finals for his Degree in Physics in a few weeks but, he is struggling with the final weeks of revision.  The main problem is that his real love is music and the band he is a member of "Joanna Gruesome" is doing very well.  They have been signed by a label and has already been on two tours to America with a further tour booked for Japan later in the year.  They also,pushed The Manic Street Preachers.into second place to win the Welsh Music Prize.
So watch this space. He is adamant he will never use his degree in physics but, then, he is only 21 and reality hasn't kicked in yet.
