Cranefly

Quiet day.  Had our coffee sitting in the car watching a spirited sea breeze whip up the waves and puff out the parachute of a few hardly para-surfers.
They were flying across the waves; looked like good fun.  Low tide so beaches busy with walkers and their canines and a few swimmers enjoying the shallows.

Home to setting to to make preserved blackcurrants.  Sticky fingers by the time we had picked all the currants of their stems.  Two medium pots filled with yumminess.  Will stew and bottle them tonight instead of watching poor pickings on television.

This cranefly is in my room and may be sick as it has not moved from it's position on the curtain.  This meant I was able to get really close though and for the first time have noticed the green tinges around body and those sweet wee 'sensors' below it's wings.  Their legs go on forever and if I were to fit them in the frame the it's body would look miniscule.
