Spiky

Bougainvillea is a genus of thorny ornamental vines, bushes, and trees with flower-like spring leaves near its flower.
There are between four and 18 species in the genus.
They are native plants of South America from Brazil west to Perú and south to southern Argentina.
An introduced species to Australia which grows prolific all over Australia.
this one is in my neighbours garden, she chops it back to a stump each winter then from spring onwards it doesn't stop growing, this one is very spiky, a blip for today's challenge..
