Orion on high

My wife and I went a late movie last night.  We no longer have any children at living at home with us.  They are all in college or married or on their own.  So we sometimes just like to take in a mid-week movie.

We got home a bit late and were still up into the early hours of today, when I noticed orion high in the sky.

And here is the blip of they day.

You can make out the orion nebula about 1,300 light years away.  I was kind of surprised.
