Dawn Oaks

With the prospect of a frost I was up before dawn only to find it was raining. However there seemed to be a break in the clouds on the horizon and as I  was already prepared to go out decided to visit my favourite Oak trees nearby.

Arriving just as dawn broke I was pleased to have made the effort as the sun broke through giving an hour of beautiful light until the clouds closed in again.

 The wind has now picked up and we are expecting gales and rain but not as bad as is forecast for the north of Scotland. The plans to move the stricken cargo ship have been postponed as there is more water in the hull than was first thought.
