Last Minute Homework

Ordinarily Miss E gets a couple of weeks to do her homework so I don't really give it too much thought when she first gets it.
On Monday she got a sheet on which to design and draw her own sandwich.
Tonight - after we got in from gymnastics and she was cleaning her teeth - she announced that her sandwich homework was due in tomorrow.
Great!
She made a space in all the clutter on the table - all the stuff I've gathered from the kitchen and the floor and the hallway and haven't yet got round to re-housing! - and drew and described her sandwich: ham and cheese on white, cut into triangles served with grapes and strips of ham on the side. Yummy!
Miss L went to gymnastics tonight. It's been almost five months since her previous attempt and point blank refusal to set foot in the place!
Apparently she loved it and had a lovely time following Miss E around and copying her every move!
They kindly agreed that today could be her second taster session - the first being on August 7th!
Today was my first day resuming healthy eating. It was a bit of a shock to the system after weeks of unlimited scoffing! Weetabix, omelette and chilli.
And I went to pilates for the first time in a month. Also a shock to the system!
