Eating hat

Matthew is happy because we let him wear his hat to eat his dinner. And fireman Bob was there to play too. He went paddling in the jelly. Which is eaten by picking up the pot and tipping, sucking or squeezing - obviously not by using the spoon.

He wailed again on being left at the childminder's - but apparently not for as long and he had a good day. Fingers crossed it gets easier - someone passing with a pushchair as I was leaving this morning ask sympathetically if it was his first day! Insert hollow laugh here.

Mike and I had a nice lazy day though - we skipped the cinema, and decided against a wintery bike ride in favour of watching dvds followed by a longish walk round the village coming home via the deli to pick up a lovely lunch. Very relaxing!
