Wind

The forecast was true -  it has been fiercely windy nearly all day.
The flight however did go although various texts seemed to indicate that neither landing was as gentle as it might have been. The house seems pleasantly spacious and quiet, although not yet, sadly, tidy.
Some fresh air was required in the afternoon and Baleshare was the choice. These Whooper Swans seem to have decided to keep their heads down in the face of the wind. If you have spent the summer in Iceland it probably isn't too bad here after all.
I however made the mistake of going for a walk along the beach when I glimpsed the sun. However at the apogee of that walk, a squall came out of nowhere with a lovely combination of rock hard hail, slush and rain so that within seconds I was pretty damp and cold. I should know by now....
