Bye Bye Baubles, Hello Earrings!

We took our wee Christmas tree down today and took off the decorations (shown here), which this year were these earrings bought in December in Cairo. We laughed as we took it all down as it took us all of 5 minutes! We did have quite a few other Christmassy things around the place though, like lots of candles, our beautiful Cairo baubles, snowflakes hanging up in our patio windows, our three wise men (also from Cairo), our camel ( from Colleen), and reindeer and camel from London, and Malcolm our permanently wall mounted tartan reindeer sporting his red winter scarf. Sometimes we like these things and so decide to keep them around the place and enjoy them all year - none of them are 'Christmas decorations' anyway. Our Cairo baubles will definitely stay hanging up this year, and our three wise men are always on our bookshelves anyway.

A text exchange this afternoon meant an impromptu visit from Mila and Josep for supper tonight. We enjoyed chat, wine, beer, and supper made from bits and bobs we had in the house. I'd made a banana and walnut loaf this afternoon, so that came in handy. It was a lovely evening!
