busy day

We brought a trailer full of garden soil and compost up from Christchurch to fill the raised garden bed GD made before xmas.  Today has been much cooler than last week, and with no sunshine it was a perfect day for him to shovel and carry the 1.66 cubic metres from the trailer to the garden. It looks great now and, although weary, he is very pleased with his day's work.  

He has filled the raised bed and is just spreading the last of the soil around the shrubs in our garden ............and is wearing the bandanna as a few years ago a friend of ours contracted Legionnaires disease from potting mix and was very very ill for quite a long time.  I think the main risk is from potting mix in bags, but no sense in taking a risk when the preventative is so easy.
