Funnel weaver spider. Thailand

Today I went on a day trek in the jungles north of Chiang Mai. It was a tiring hike in the heat but rewarding, we saw plenty of wildlife and friendly locals along the way.

The sidings of the roads were covered with funnel weaver spider webs. Our guide explained that the spiders wait patiently for butterflies or other insects to fall into the funnels before nabbing them, but explained they weren't dangerous to humans.
It was a really impressive sight to see what these little creatures could create.
