Back Into The Routine

It was lovely to wake up to cats being cats.  Lovely to be home again.

The weather wasn't quite so lovely though. And here's a test for your German - es hat den ganzen Tag gepisst.

"der Tag" you know is "the day", but since this is accusative, the article changes to "den" and the adjective "ganz" (means whole) is declined to "ganzen".  The sentence is in the perfect past tense so "es hat" is "it has" and I really shouldn't have to help you with the past-participle.

I had a good three hour lesson with my German teacher today and I'm sort of filled with the desire to share.  Perhaps I should have kept it to myself.
